Without a doubt the best shoreline on the westside of San Juan Island. Talk about kayaking with the Orca whales. They are literally in your front yard.

Leonard has left us and the glory days of the fishing on the Salmon Banks are just a distant memory.

The last of a dying breed. Fished the trap off the salmon banks for over 60 years at least. The salmon banks are located off the South end of San Juan Island, from Cattle Point to Eagle Point. Incredibly productive salmon catching area. A lot of local history floating here.
