Daily Photos of San Juan Island, Washington, USA
Voted Best of the San Juans, kayaking the westside and whale watching out of Roche Harbor
Making a haul. Pulling in the catch. The oldest form of net fishing in the San Juans. The pinks and sockeye are running.
Early morning smooth commute from Friday Harbor to Stuart Island to look at some property. We are traveling on the north side of Johns Island heading west.
The daily photo camera has been out of the country for almost a month, but is back on the water now. This shot is in Roche Harbor coming into the fuel dock.
I spent a good part of the day on the water. This shot was taken from the Roche Harbor fuel dock. Slight breeze out of the north with flat seas. About time.
I ran across this rookery today, it is new to me, no telling how long they have been around. Really kind of neat, unless you own a dock in the neighborhood.
Riding the interisland ferry this morning and watched this one go by. Looks as if they were making a hot lap of the Islands.
