On our way back from Jones Island yesterday we ran across 2 pods of Orcas just outside of Friday Harbor. Very unusual. Some say this is due to the large number if pink salmon coming through the Islands right now.

Returning from Orcas Island this afternoon I took these shots as we were nearing the dock in Friday Harbor, and I can’t recall seeing the Olympic Mountains quite so high, it seems as if sometimes they just grow.
